The Broadway, a new mixed-use, cultural and lifestyle destination, is the latest major London development by Northacre. Located between three Royal Parks, the one million sq. ft scheme mixed-use scheme designed by award-winning architectural practice, Squire & Partners, occupies six towers on the former site of New Scotland Yard and, originally, the verdant orchards of Westminster Abbey. Views from the apartments’ floor-to-ceiling windows embrace London’s most internationally recognized landmarks, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.
Northacre also unveils a new 4,672 sq ft, four-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse with a self-contained one-bedroom apartment, styled by family-owned Italian brand, Minotti London. This is the first Minotti- exclusive home in the UK. It joins a rarefied collection of appointed designers, all at the forefront of their field, including Natalia Miyar Atelier and Elicyon. All have designed bespoke show apartments. New entrant into the UK market from New York City and Los Angeles, NAINOA, has provided full-scale design for all the communal and wellness areas.
The Broadway, purchased by SHUAA Capital in 2016 and completed in August 2022, provides 258 one- to-five-bedroom apartments and penthouses across 355,000 sq. ft; 116,000 sq. ft of state-of-the-art office space, 27,000 sq. ft retail collection; 16,000 sq. ft of exceptional wellness facilities, and 20,000 sq. ft of new public centred around new public thoroughfare, Orchard Place.
Jassim Alseddiqi, Chairman of Northacre commented: “The Broadway is one of the largest residential developments in prime Central London. The location presented us with an entirely blank canvas, allowing every aspect of the development to be crafted with uncompromising care and attention. Furthermore, it provided the opportunity for us to bring something entirely new into the heart of one of London’s most historic areas to reflect a blended lifestyle ecosystem with a contemporary twist.”
The communal amenities at The Broadway represent Northacre’s largest-ever provision of wellbeing- focused space in any of its developments in the firm’s three-decade history. The spaces include a 25m indoor pool bounded on all sides by areas for rest and relaxation; a gym featuring a range of equipment by Techno Gym and free weights for cardio, strength and flexibility training; Pilates equipment; sauna and steam as well as two treatment rooms. Massage therapists, hair and beauty technicians and personal trainers are available by appointment. In addition, new public areas at Orchard Place, offer multiple opportunities to connect and foster the sense of neighbourhood and community.
Simon Edwardson, Head of Sales Northacre, adds: “Since its inception, the central focus of The Broadway has been to create an integrated community in its broadest sense. The development delivers on these intentions through its living spaces, residential amenities and new public areas, which promote community engagement and encounters.”
The Broadway was designed by international architectural practice Squire & Partners. Murray Levinson, Partner Squire & Partners comments: “The Broadway provides purposeful living spaces that invite connection and conviviality. The Broadway succeeds in this through the community among its residents, the new destination of Orchard Place and with the city itself through its central location and long vistas across some of London’s finest landmarks.”
Interior design and architecture firm, NAINOA, based in New York City and Los Angeles, was commissioned for the interior fit-out of The Broadway’s amenity spaces. The firm’s approach is deeply rooted in the incorporation of natural materials, colour palettes and forms to create spaces of serenity and repose, places of meditative sanctuary away from the pace and bustle of life in the British capital.
Noa Santos, founder of NAINOA notes: “Our designs for The Broadway were directed by Northacre’s overarching vision to create an urban retreat in the heart of the city. In working with the team at The Broadway, we intended that its design should transcend visual stimulation and appeal to all the senses and create seamless connections between ourselves and our environments.”
The apartments range in price from £1.75m to POA and are available for immediate viewings.

About The Broadway
The Broadway, Westminster SW1 was inspired by the Art Deco features of the neighbouring Grade I listed property, 55 Broadway, once London’s tallest building when it was built in 1929. Northacre and architectural partner Squire and Partners studied the beautifully configured architecture of 1920’s jewellery, and its contemporary interpretations, as a creative direction for the development. The shapes and structures found in luxury retail form the concept for The Broadway’s interiors, and the buildings have been named after three of the world’s most revered diamonds; The Sancy, The Paragon and The Cullinan.
The interiors have been carefully considered to take advantage of the dramatic quality of light created by the unique exterior and interior architectural design and provide a real sense of space alongside an elegant colour palette and contrasting textual effects.
The Broadway provides 16,000 square feet of health, fitness and spa amenities that afford residents the chance to relax and recharge in an exceptional setting. Facilities include an elegant 25m pool, gym and personal training studio, treatment rooms and a spacious, state-of-the-art games room, that can be booked by residents as additional entertainment space, alongside well-equipped meeting rooms, screening room and extensive parking.
In addition, tucked between the six striking towers of The Broadway is Orchard Place, a vibrant living and lifestyle destination imagined to inspire wellbeing and reinvigorate Westminster. A contemporary destination and blended lifestyle ecosystem, Orchard Place has been curated with stylish simplicity to define a new era of living. Visitors and residents alike can experience six pillars of the community: Live, Eat, Shop, Work, Move, Play.

Envisage conscious retailers and pop-ups that align with the Orchard Place wellbeing framework.
Orchard Place also delivers 116,000 sq. ft workplaces, surrounded by public realm and parks in SW1’s vibrant new quarter. Crafted to blend the energy of a modern office with the additional benefits of a contemporary wellness destination, these are spaces for individuals and organisations to learn, grow and thrive.
